Launch Complex 34

Hand held HDR utilizing Photomatix Pro 3.

The location of the Apollo 1 fire where we lost three heros (Command Pilot Virgil I. 'Gus' Grissom, Senior Pilot Edward H. White II, and Pilot Roger B. Chaffee).

During a preliminary test and launch rehearsal on January 27, 1967, a fire broke out in the cabin which killed all three and destroyed the Command Module (CM-012). This was the world's first crew fatality associated with a manned space flight.
